United Way of West Central Connecticut
100 Years and Counting
United Way of West Central Connecticut originated as the Community Chest of Bristol, CT in 1922 and later expanded into the towns of Burlington and Plymouth. United Way of Bristol, Burlington, and Plymouth merged with the United Way of Plainville in 1996 to form what is known today as United Way of West Central Connecticut (UWWCCT).
United Way of West Central Connecticut is one of 15 independent United Ways in Connecticut and one of nearly 1,300 national and worldwide agencies. United Way of West Central Connecticut has been in partnership with individuals, businesses, and organizations working to improve community life for 100+ years.
Our mission, together we inspire and empower our community; creating long-lasting impact, underscores our partnerships with local non-profit agencies to address the core issues of the community that focuses on health, education, and financial stability resulting in positive outcomes.
