Volunteer and Support Your Community

United Way of West Central Connecticut offers companies, community groups, students, and individuals in our communities the opportunities to be volunteers, to be "hand raisers". We assist in connecting and collaborating with local partner agencies and area nonprofits that are in need of support.

Opportunities may include hosting a collection drive, participating in a group project, volunteering at an event, or joining a committee.

For more information contact Sarah Mitchell, Resource Development Coordinator, smitchell@uwwestcentralct.org or call (860) 582-9559 x 407.

Joy of Sharing

United Way of West Central Connecticut's Joy of Sharing Program has been providing food, toys, and gifts to children, teens, and families in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, and Plymouth for over a decade. Last year alone, over 5,000 toys and gifts were donated, along with hundreds of food baskets. This year, the need is greater than ever and we need your help!

We are in the planning stages for the 2024 holiday season. Please check back later this summer for updated information on hosting a collection, donating food or toys, or making a financial contribution to help children and families during the holidays.
